The Africa Group for Justice and Accountability (AGJA) warmly congratulates Professor Dapo Akande on his election to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Akande’s profound expertise in public international law and his longstanding commitment to the international rule of law will be a tremendous asset to the Court.
As a founding member of the Africa Group for Justice and Accountability, Dapo has been a consistently thoughtful, caring and brilliant colleague. He has generously shared his advice and wisdom to multiple AGJA as well as Wayamo-led projects. The ICJ is truly fortunate to have him on its bench.
